Lukas Göthman Stockholm-based artist Lukas Göthman works with text, colour, and thick letterforms drawn from his nightly journals, turning short phrases into painted objects with real physical presence. His basement studio on Banérgatan—part workshop, part archive—shapes the work’s mix of humour, grit, and improvisation. Themes loop between memory, travel, and small fictional detours; the honey badger, a recurring stand-in for fearlessness, anchored his 2023 exhibition Unleash Honey at Björkholmen Gallery. Göthman’s practice extends to collaborations, including editions with Skultuna, and often blurs lived experience with invented scenes, giving his paintings a direct, slightly off-kilter clarity.
