Louise Campbell

Born in 1970 in Copenhagen, leading Danish furniture and lighting designer Louise Campbell grew up in both Denmark and England. She graduated from the London College of Furniture in 1992 before completing a degree in Industrial Design at Denmark’s Design School in 1995. The designer opened her own studio in 1996. Her work is often playfully imaginative and creative, finding the essence while also daring to be different. Louise Campbell has worked with a wide range of brands and institutions, from the Danish Ministry of Culture to Louis Poulsen, Stelton, Nikari, and Muuto, to name a few. She was a guest of honor at IMM Cologne in 2014 and has been on the advisory board of the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts. Louis Campbell’s work has been included in the permanent collections of MoMA, New York, The Design Museum, Habitare Collection, Helsinki, and Musée National D’Art Moderne, Centre Pompidou, Paris, among others. Awards include the Good Design Award from the Chicago Athenaeum, an iF Gold Award, and the Danish Arts Foundation's lifetime honorary award.
