Japanese designer Kazuya Koike was born in 1980. In 2003, he graduated with a degree in product design from the Osaka Design College and started working as a chief designer at Ideaco the same year. Kazuya Koike established his own design firm in 2012. Named Doogdesign, the studio completes projects in Japan and abroad, collaborating with various brands and companies. The firm’s portfolio includes product, furniture, and lighting design as well as home accessories, stationery, art objects, and IoT appliances. Minimalist and ingenious, the designer’s projects effortlessly blend function and refined simplicity. Kazuya Koike has received many prestigious awards for his work, including the iF Design Award and the Good Design Award.
