Ivo Bisignano was a multidisciplinary artist who infused his work with surrealism and playfulness as well as a feeling of nostalgia. Born in Regalbuto, Sicily, he originally trained as an architect before embarking on a career in fashion illustration, collaborating with renowned fashion houses like Prada and Missoni. Comfortable with operating in a wide range of disciplines, the artist has left behind an impressive body of work, from illustration, video and animation to sculpture, painting, and product design. One of his last collections was Sicily, created in a collaboration with renowned chef Yotam Ottolenghi. The series of tableware and vases reference Sicily’s ancient legends and cultural heritage, capturing not only the island’s artistic essence, but also the artist’s love of surrealist motifs and dynamic forms.
