Isa Andersson is a Swedish designer known for her bold, sculptural creations that blur the line between art and design. With work that questions conventions of beauty, aggression, and identity, her objects—like knives with textured handles or glass adorned with spikes—spark conversation and challenge societal norms. After completing her studies at Beckmans School of Design, Andersson pursued a master’s degree at Konstfack, where she created Hydraulic, a seamless stainless steel vase shaped with a hydraulic press. Her tactile and conceptual pieces have been featured in exhibitions with Misschiefs in Stockholm and Milan, as well as the Tokyo Design/Art Festival, showcasing her unique vision that combines functionality with a provocative edge.
