Hallgeir Homstvedt is a Norwegian designer celebrated for his versatile approach, creating pieces that range from door handles to upholstered furniture. After studying industrial design at the University of Newcastle in Australia, Homstvedt returned to Norway in 2006 to join the acclaimed Norway Says collective. In 2009, he founded Homstvedt Design, based in a historic factory in Oslo, where he continues to explore fresh perspectives in design. Named Norway’s Designer of the Year in 2017, Homstvedt approaches each project with a unique viewpoint, integrating innovative materials, playful forms, and modern production techniques that question conventional design.
