Born in 1942, George Sowden is a renowned British designer who initially trained as an architect. After relocating to Milan in the 1970s, Sowden worked with acclaimed figures like Ettore Sottsass and Olivetti, before co-founding the Memphis Group in the 1980s. Sowden's prolific career includes the development of the widely popular SoftBrew brewing device for coffee and tea in 2010.
