Iconic designer Enzo Mari (1932-2020) was one of the masters of Italian Design. Born in Novara, he moved to Milan to study and train as an artist, a city he then made his home for the rest of his life. Enzo Mari’s work ranged from design to painting, from graphics to installation design. His characteristic style that focused on minimal forms and a consistent use of materials became fundamental to modern Italian design and to the development of its role on a world stage. Mari worked with Danese Milano during a strong period of growth for the company; this allowed him to experiment with techniques and create installations, sculptures, and products that became true milestones in the history of Italian design.
