Dominic Montante

Dominic Montante is a Toronto-based industrial designer at Cortex Design and an instructor with Advanced Design, where he shares his knowledge of design history and manufacturing. With a BFA in Industrial Design and a minor in Graphic Design from the Cleveland Institute of Art (2017), Dom has a knack for crafting practical, impactful solutions. He’s brought over 18 products to market across diverse industries—think housewares, automotive, baby products, and consumer electronics. Notably, he’s the only designer to snag 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in the same year at the International Housewares Association Student Design Competition. His senior thesis—tools to help farmers in Laos clear UXO-contaminated land—earned him a post-grad research grant.
