Born in Belgium in the year 1962, he inaugurated a fresh studio in 2000, focusing on Industrial Design and innovative Architecture. This workshop found its home in Lucca, situated in the scenic region of Tuscany, within his unique establishment known as "CASA BOUCQUILLON." This location served as an avant-garde haven for exploration, reflection, coexistence, and creativity. At present, Michel collaborates with some of the most renowned International Design firms worldwide. His creations are prominently displayed in multiple museums and have garnered numerous prestigious global accolades. Donia Maaoui, Michel's spouse and an accomplished architect herself, actively contributes to various Alessi and Martinelliluce projects in partnership with her husband. It's worth noting that her primary focus remains on sculpting cast bronze and pursuing the art of painting.
