Designer
Born in 1964 in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Alfredo Häberli moved to Switzerland in 1977. He graduated with a degree in Industrial Design from the Höhere Schule für Gestaltung in 1991. Based in Zurich, the designer creates a range of products for Swiss and international brands. Alfredo Häberli’s work references his early childhood in Argentina as well as his curious nature and love of exploration. The designer’s collaboration with Finnish brand Iittala has led to the creation of popular tableware and glassware series, including the Origo and the Essence collections. Apart from his work with Iittala, Alfredo Häberli has also worked with leading brands like BMW, Alias, and Cappellini, to name a few. Among other awards, the designer has received the prestigious Swiss Grand Prix of Design from the Swiss Federal Office of Culture in 2014.
