From ancient times to present day, tools have shaped our daily lives. The award-winning Mono Zeug collection acknowledges this fact with a highly original design. Michael Schneider created this series in 1995, to mark the 100th anniversary of the family-run brand Mono. Inspired by the tools of prehistoric people, the flatware features organic, curved forms. While the knife references a primitive hand ax, the fork reminds of early spit tools. The source of inspiration also gives a nod to Mettmann, the home of Mono and the place where the first Neanderthal fossils was discovered in 1856. Made from 18/10 stainless steel and hardened steel, the Mono Zeug collection comprises a spoon, fork, knife, and teaspoon. All are available separately or in a set.
