Toribe

Toribe was founded in 1962 in Niigata, Japan. From the beginning, the company specialized in the manufacturing of scissors, offering a wide range of designs. After establishing an in-house foundry, Toribe started producing cast iron scissors, controlling the manufacturing process at every stage, from design to the last finishing touches. Later, the company switched materials from cast iron to stainless steel and steel to ensure the durability and strength of each product. Apart from the permanent collection, Toribe also makes custom products, with the final finishing stages always completed by hand by skilled and experienced craftspeople.
