Founded in 2021 by Stan Verstraete, Gent-based Stan Editions designs and makes products that tell a story and reimagine ubiquitous items in imaginative ways. The brand’s first collection named Candl Stacks transforms the humble candle into a modular sculpture. Inspired by the concept of flexibility, these candles feature cylindrical parts of different sizes and colors that allow users to mix-and-match modules and create different Candl Stacks. The series comprises several pre-made stacks with 3 and up to 7 modules, which users can rearrange as they wish. The collection’s success has led the company to create a special color edition in collaboration with Design Museum Gent.
