Founded by Isamu Saito in 1948, Saito Wood Co. is a family-owned and -operated woodworking shop in Kawane, a small town in the Shizuoka prefecture of Japan. Saito served as an engineer in the Japanese army and applied his expertise to producing the highest quality molded plywood products in Japan. Today, three generations later, the company is run by the founder’s grandson, Takuya Saito, and specializes in home and office decor and accessories.
