Missive is a California letterpress studio making clean, modern stationery with a West Coast tone. Founded by designer Lisa Willis, the brand has grown into a two-person operation: Lisa develops the collections while her partner, Gregory, runs the presses in their Pleasant Hill studio. The name comes from the old word for a written message—a nod to paper as something that still travels.

Production stays hands-on and local. Cards are printed on mid-century presses, using FSC-certified and reclaimed cotton papers. The studio is solar-powered, and materials are sourced from nearby suppliers whenever possible. The result is straightforward: cards and small paper gifts you’ll want to send and keep—minimal graphics, crisp impressions, and formats that feel good in the hand.
