Innit founder Paul Yacht first entered the world of design as a young film set decorator in Toronto. In 2002, he moved to Puerto Escondido, Mexico, where he opened a business that combined a cinema, bookstore, surf shop, and bar. While there, he discovered the mid-century modern Acapulco Chairs and used them as seating for the cinema and lounge areas of his store. Upon realizing the popularity and potential of the retro chair, he perfected the design and established the Innit brand. In 2011, the company moved its head office back to Toronto. All of the brand’s products are manufactured in Canada and the US. The Innit collection includes the popular Acapulco Chair as well as signature designs that expand upon the original concept.
