Design House Stockholm operates not as a traditional producer but as a curator of design, akin to a publishing house working with authors. Inviting designers to contribute their individual visions, we meticulously select concepts that bring a unique perspective to their category. It’s not about celebrity names but the essence of the idea that takes center stage. From meeting Harri Koskinen as an unknown student with his soon-to-be iconic Block Lamp to collaborating with a global network of designers, our aim is to be the epitome of modern Scandinavian design. Although the term ‘Scandinavian’ usually points to a geographic region, for us it signifies a philosophical and aesthetic approach. This vision unites designers from diverse backgrounds—be it French, German, Australian, American, or Chilean—under one design ethos, resulting in a collection that withstands the fleeting nature of trends.
