Looks like a book on the shelf—turns into three boards on the counter. Designed by Roberto Vaia for KnIndustrie, the Global Book set stacks three solid-wood cutting boards into the profile of a hardcover. A leather strap holds them together, making it easy to move from cupboard to table in one motion.
Each board measures 10.6″ x 6.9″ x 1″ (27 x 17.6 x 2.5 cm) and comes in a different wood: pale ash, warm oak, and dark Canaletto walnut. The grain and weight change with each, giving you a choice of surface for bread, cheese, or everyday prep.
On the counter, they work as dependable cutting boards. On a shelf, they read as a single sculptural object—more library volume than kitchen tool.
