The Compendio Knife Block Set puts five everyday kitchen knives into a slim wooden block that keeps them organized without occupying a large section of the counter. Made by Coltellerie Berti in Scarperia, Italy, the set combines satin-finished stainless steel blades with glossy methacrylate handles.

The assortment covers the jobs that come up most often in the kitchen: slicing bread and cakes, cutting meat and cheese, preparing vegetables and fish, slicing larger foods, and handling smaller everyday prep with the compact Milleusi utility knife.

Each knife uses a laser-cut stainless steel blade with full-tang construction, extending the metal through the length of the handle for stability. Choose Ice, Orange, or Black methacrylate; the matching five knives are stored in the same narrow black wooden block.

The complete set weighs approximately 3.15 pounds and measures 16.1 inches along its longest side. Berti permits dishwasher cleaning for its stabilized methacrylate handles, but recommends hand washing and immediate drying to preserve the blades and finish.
