Boom treats light like an event. Twenty-two slender aluminum arms burst from a compact core, bend into measured arcs, then taper to frosted cylinders that glow like slow-falling embers. Matteo Ugolini’s composition does away with the pomp of a traditional chandelier, swapping crystal for negative space and letting rhythm do the ornamentation. The matte black finish recedes by day; at night the tips float, sketching a silent firework over dining tables, double-height lobbies, or arcaded terraces. Integrated LEDs keep the profile lean and unobtrusive, while fine suspension cables make the whole piece read almost weightless—just a poised moment caught mid-trajectory. Crafted in Italy by Karman, Boom pairs theatrical scale with an understated palette, delivering drama that feels at home in both pared-back interiors and richly layered settings.
