Product description

An explosion frozen in mid-air. Designed in 2005 by Enrico Franzolini & Vicente Garcia Jiménez, the Big Bang pendant layers six irregular sheets of translucent methacrylate around a slim aluminum core. The planes overlap like shattered glass, scattering glare-free light in every direction while casting sharp, graphic shadows on walls and ceiling.

Available in three sizes—≈ 38 in W, 57 in W, and 75 in W—the fixture stays surprisingly light (about 12 lbs in the standard model) yet fills a room visually, making it a natural focal point above a dining table or in a tall entryway. An integrated 3000 K LED engine (90 CRI) sits deep inside the hub, delivering up to 9,000 lumens on the XL version with dim-to-dark capability through most TRIAC or ELV wall controls.

Choose Matte White for a clean architectural look or Silkscreen Red for a burst of color—the hue is printed on the outer faces only, so light still passes freely through the acrylic. A 10-foot clear power cable and discreet ceiling canopy finish the piece; all components are assembled and tested at Foscarini’s Venice workshop.
