Poul M. Volther (1923–2001) was one of the key figures in Danish furniture design’s formative years. Originally trained as a cabinetmaker, Volther brought a deep respect for craftsmanship into his work when he became head of FDB Møbler’s design studio in 1950, following Børge Mogensen.
