Its name means “small basket” in Spanish, a direct reference to the wooden structure that holds the illuminated globe. The family began after Milá found an abandoned opaline globe outside a Barcelona glass factory and developed a wooden frame to support it.

At 14.1 inches high and 8.6 inches in diameter, Cestita is compact enough for a bedside table, shelf, console, or low side table. The cherry wood frame curves around the diffuser and continues upward to form a handle, making the lamp easy to reposition within reach of its power cord.

The frame is manually produced by European craftspeople using traditional steam-bending techniques. Its polished cherry wood provides a warm contrast to the white opal diffuser, which softens the bulb and distributes light around the lamp.

Choose White Opal Glass for the heavier and more delicate version, or White Opal Polyethylene for a lighter diffuser that better withstands everyday knocks. Replacement diffusers in both materials are available separately from Santa & Cole.

The US version uses one E26 LED bulb, not included, and has an in-line on/off switch. Santa & Cole’s current specification recommends a 3.4W LED bulb producing 470 lumens at 2700K. The lamp is UL listed for indoor, dry-location use and does not have an integrated dimmer.

Although the handle allows the lamp to be moved easily, this is the corded Cestita. It should not be confused with the separate Cestita Batería, which has a rechargeable battery and integrated LED.

Pauline Bar Stool – Solid Oak Legs https://shop.gessato.com/pauline-bar-stool-solid-oak-legs/ https://shop.gessato.com/pauline-bar-stool-solid-oak-legs/#respond Thu, 30 Jul 2026 18:57:23 +0000 https://shop.gessato.com/?post_type=product&p=176929 The 29.5-inch Pauline is the bar-height version of OEO Studio’s backless stool, sized for home bars, taller counters, restaurants, and hospitality interiors. This listing covers the model with four solid oak legs, a black steel footrest, and a padded upholstered seat. The shorter 25.6-inch counter stool and both metal-leg versions are listed separately.

Four tapered oak legs support the seat, while the steel ring strengthens the frame and provides a continuous footrest. The stool measures 16.1 inches square, keeping its footprint manageable when several seats are placed along a bar.

Choose Oiled Oak for a lighter natural wood tone or Oiled Fumed Oak for a deeper brown finish. Upholstery options include grey Hallingdal 65 wool blend, cream Moss cotton blend, Spectrum semi-aniline leather in Oyster, Almond, Brandy, or Cinnamon, and black Savanne semi-aniline leather.

The solid-oak-leg version offered through the US distributor is upholstered only; a solid wood seat is not included among its available configurations.

Before ordering, compare the 29.5-inch seat height with the height and underside clearance of your bar. For a standard kitchen counter or island, the shorter Pauline Counter Stool will generally be the more appropriate configuration.

Mr. Goodman: The Kiteman Book https://shop.gessato.com/mr-goodman-the-kiteman-book/ https://shop.gessato.com/mr-goodman-the-kiteman-book/#respond Wed, 29 Jul 2026 18:20:40 +0000 https://shop.gessato.com/?post_type=product&p=176794 Mr. Goodman: The Kiteman is a large-format visual record of Malcolm Goodman’s extensive kite collection. An English engineer who became a dedicated kite connoisseur, Goodman spent more than four decades acquiring, studying, and living among kites from around the world.

Conceived by Kite Club and designed and edited in collaboration with Maharam, the book preserves Goodman’s work through photography, essays, and detailed documentation. Photographers Maurice Scheltens and Liesbeth Abbenes present more than 280 kites, ranging from intricate miniatures and traditional constructions to bold graphic surfaces and utilitarian designs.

Some of the kites are photographed individually, allowing their structures, materials, colors, and patterns to be examined closely. Others appear within Goodman’s home, where the collection once filled the entire ground floor and formed an informal private museum.

An introductory essay by design historian Emily King recounts Goodman’s life in kiting, while shorter texts by King and industrial designer Bertjan Pot provide context drawn from historical and contemporary kite culture.

The 272-page softcover book is printed in full color with French-folded pages. Published in an edition of 1,650 copies, it offers a substantial visual reference for readers interested in graphic design, photography, engineering, folk craft, material culture, and the history of flight.

Mono A 4-Piece Flatware Set – Short Blade https://shop.gessato.com/mono-a-4-piece-flatware-set-short-blade/ https://shop.gessato.com/mono-a-4-piece-flatware-set-short-blade/#respond Mon, 27 Jul 2026 13:51:21 +0000 https://shop.gessato.com/?post_type=product&p=176670 Designed by Peter Raacke and introduced in 1959, Mono A established the flat, angular form that became central to the German manufacturer’s identity. Its broad handles and sharply defined silhouettes marked a clear departure from the ornamental flatware commonly produced at the time. The collection later received Germany’s Federal Prize for Good Form and entered museum collections internationally.

This four-piece set provides one complete place setting: a table spoon, table fork, teaspoon, and table knife. The knife has Raacke’s original short blade, which gives it a compact profile while retaining the same overall length as the table spoon. Mono added the longer knife option later for customers who prefer an extended blade.

The utensils are made from matte-brushed 18/10 stainless steel. Hardened blade steel is used for the knife to support lasting cutting performance. Mono produces its flatware largely by hand at its manufactory in Mettmann, Germany.

All four pieces are dishwasher safe and designed for regular use. Additional dining utensils and serving pieces are available separately within the Mono A collection, allowing the place setting to be expanded over time.

Superlocal 24-Hour Clock https://shop.gessato.com/superlocal-24-hour-clock/ https://shop.gessato.com/superlocal-24-hour-clock/#respond Fri, 24 Jul 2026 14:11:04 +0000 https://shop.gessato.com/?post_type=product&p=176316 Superlocal by CW&T is a 24-hour clock designed to show the whole day at once. Instead of cycling through the same 12 hours twice, its single hand completes one full rotation every 24 hours, giving you a clearer view of how your day is actually shaped.

The dial has 48 machined dimples, each marking a half-hour increment. Small magnetic spheres snap into those dimples so you can mark the moments that matter: sleep, waking up, lunch, exercise, studio time, medication, school pickup, dinner, or whatever anchors your routine. Leave the rest open where you do not need the clock to ask for your attention.

The object itself is compact and weighty. The body is machined from steel with a black Melonite coating, while the hand is made from aluminum and steel with a matte white powder-coated finish. Inside, a German-made 24-hour quartz movement keeps time.

Superlocal can sit on a desk or mount to a wall. On a desk, two magnetic spheres fit into the perimeter of the body to keep the clock from rolling. For wall use, hang it from the machined hole in the back using a screw or anchor with a maximum head size of 8 mm.

This is not an alarm clock and it does not have numbers, notifications, or alerts. It is better understood as a daily map: a quiet way to see your routine, adjust it, and make the shape of the day visible. It makes a smart gift for designers, writers, studio workers, remote workers, new parents, people rebuilding a routine, or anyone who thinks ordinary clocks are too blunt for the way life actually happens.

Forever Jump Rope https://shop.gessato.com/forever-jump-rope/ https://shop.gessato.com/forever-jump-rope/#respond Thu, 23 Jul 2026 15:48:41 +0000 https://shop.gessato.com/?post_type=product&p=176277 The Forever Jump Rope by CW&T is a repairable, adjustable jump rope built around machined metal handles and a replaceable cord. It is a fitness tool, but also very much a CW&T object: simple in use, carefully engineered, and made with the idea that the part most likely to wear out should be easy to replace.

The handles are machined from solid 6061 aluminum, black anodized aluminum, or 304 stainless steel. Aluminum is the lighter option, with each handle weighing 185 g. Stainless steel is much heavier, at 500 g per handle, giving the rope a more weighted workout feel.

The cord comes in three options. Orange PVC and Black PVC are 6 mm cords with a string core to help reduce stretch. Black leather is a 5 mm option with a more traditional feel. CW&T notes that PVC will last longer than leather, so choose PVC for the most durable daily setup and leather for a more tactile, classic version.

Fit is handled simply. The rope comes with a 3 m / 10 ft cord, which can be cut to match the user’s height and jumping style. When the cord eventually wears out, it can be replaced by tying new knots rather than replacing the whole jump rope.

Small details make the difference in use. The inside edges of the handles have a precise fillet that holds the rope at a tangent while it spins. That gives the rope a clean movement without adding unnecessary mechanical parts.

CW&T x gnuhr Little Folding Scissors https://shop.gessato.com/cwt-gnuhr-little-folding-scissors/ https://shop.gessato.com/cwt-gnuhr-little-folding-scissors/#respond Thu, 23 Jul 2026 11:14:08 +0000 https://shop.gessato.com/?post_type=product&p=176230 Little Scissors is a compact folding cutting tool by CW&T, made in collaboration with gnuhr. It takes a simple everyday object and rebuilds it with better materials, tighter construction, and a folding format that keeps it small enough for a pocket, pouch, desk drawer, pencil case, sewing kit, or studio tray.

The handles are machined from Grade 5 titanium, with matching Grade 5 titanium screws and VG-10 stainless steel blades. At 24 g, the scissors are light, but the material choices keep the object from feeling disposable. The cutouts in the handles reduce weight, while the folded size makes the tool easy to store without needing a full scissors sleeve.

The design is small, but it is meant to be usable. CW&T describes the proportions as sized to cut comfortably and fold down to be little. Release latches let the scissors fold closed when not in use, creating a compact profile that fits in the palm.

Choose Right hand or Left hand. The distinction matters here: this is not a one-size-fits-all symmetrical novelty tool. Select the version that matches the user’s cutting hand.

Little Scissors works well for paper, packaging, labels, threads, small craft tasks, desk use, and the kind of everyday cutting job where full-size scissors are more than you need. Keep the blades clean and dry after use, fold the scissors closed before storing, and handle them as a sharp tool rather than a toy.

HB Coffee Table https://shop.gessato.com/hb-coffee-table/ https://shop.gessato.com/hb-coffee-table/#respond Wed, 15 Jul 2026 19:17:49 +0000 https://shop.gessato.com/?post_type=product&p=175784 The HB Coffee Table is a round Danish coffee table by Hans Bølling for Brdr. Krüger. Part of the HB Collection, it translates the language of Bølling’s 1963 Tray Table into a lower, wider living-room table: no wheels, no removable trays, just a generous circular surface with a quiet tray-like edge and a crafted hardwood base.

The table is designed around simple geometry: a 100 cm round top, soft edges, and a low 37.5 cm height that works well in front of sofas, lounge chairs, and larger seating arrangements. The raised rim gives the tabletop a subtle framed profile, useful for keeping books, cups, bowls, and daily objects visually contained without making the table feel heavy.

Choose Oiled Oak for a lighter Danish wood expression, White-Oiled Maple for a pale and clean look, Oiled Fumed Oak for a deeper brown tone, or Oiled Cherry for a warmer red-brown finish that will develop with age and light. Each finish changes the table’s character significantly, so the choice should be made with the surrounding flooring, sofa fabric, and lighting in mind.

The HB Coffee Table works especially well with the HB Lounge Chair and HB Stool, but it does not need the full collection around it. Its round shape makes it easy to approach from several seats, while the solid hardwood construction gives it enough visual weight for a living room, library, hospitality lounge, or office seating area.

TRIIIO Dining Table https://shop.gessato.com/triiio-dining-table/ https://shop.gessato.com/triiio-dining-table/#respond Wed, 15 Jul 2026 11:23:17 +0000 https://shop.gessato.com/?post_type=product&p=175755 The TRIIIO Dining Table is a round Danish dining table by architect and designer Hans Bølling for Brdr. Krüger. First sketched in 1958, the design centers on a three-part wood base that twists and interlocks beneath the tabletop.

The base is the table’s defining feature. Three solid wood legs meet in a branching structure that gives the table visual movement while keeping the round top balanced. Brass fittings add a refined transition between the base and the tabletop on the glass versions.

The Clear Glass Top and Bronze Glass Top versions have a 53.1″ diameter, giving the table a generous circular surface while keeping the base visible from above. Clear glass creates the lightest expression and shows the joinery most directly. Bronze glass adds warmth and softens the contrast between wood and tabletop.

The Solid Wood Top version is smaller in diameter at 47.2″ and has a more continuous wood presence. It is a good choice when you want the TRIIIO base but prefer a full wood dining surface rather than glass.

Choose Oiled Oak for a lighter Danish wood tone, Oiled Fumed Oak for a deeper brown finish, or Oiled Walnut for the richest wood expression. Walnut is available only with the glass top options in the supplied 2Modern assortment. Solid Wood Top is available only in Oiled Oak and Oiled Fumed Oak. The table is made to order in Denmark and ships flat-packed. Because tabletop and wood finish change both the size and the character of the table.

Jari Ellipse Low Coffee Table https://shop.gessato.com/jari-ellipse-low-coffee-table/ https://shop.gessato.com/jari-ellipse-low-coffee-table/#respond Tue, 14 Jul 2026 15:56:17 +0000 https://shop.gessato.com/?post_type=product&p=175718 The Jari Ellipse Low Coffee Table is a solid oak coffee table by OEO Studio for Brdr. Krüger. The table belongs to the Jari Low Tables collection, a family of round and elliptical tables designed around soft, irregular shapes inspired by pebbles.

This version focuses on the ellipse: a long, asymmetric tabletop with deep, double-rounded edges and slim tapered legs. The top gives the table its main character, while the narrowed leg profile keeps the base visually light. The result is a generous wood surface that does not feel bulky in the room.

Two sizes are available. The Small / 130 x 58 cm version is the more compact and taller option, suited to apartment living rooms, lounge chairs, and sofa-side use. The Large / 180 x 80 cm version is lower and longer, with more surface area for larger seating arrangements, open living rooms, and hospitality spaces.

The table comes in two finishes: Oiled Oak and Oiled Fumed Oak. Oiled Oak gives the piece a lighter Danish wood tone with visible grain. Oiled Fumed Oak has a darker, warmer finish and a stronger contrast against pale upholstery, stone, or light rugs.

Jari can work as a single coffee table or as part of a larger composition with other Jari Low Tables. Its long elliptical shape is especially useful in front of sofas and sectionals, where a round table may not offer enough reach across the seating area.

This is a made-to-order piece produced in Denmark. Confirm lead time, finish choice, cancellation terms, and return policy before ordering.
