The lid is more useful than a standard cover. It can be used as a flat plate, as a heating plate, or as a cover when keeping cooked food for later reheating. The specialized handle clips onto the dish when moving it while hot. Part of the handle detaches into a silicone holder with a magnet, which attaches to the lid and works as a knob for opening and closing.

The 25 cm Skillet Plate is the largest format and works best for main courses or one-plate meals. The 18 cm Skillet Plate is better for sides, small portions, or use as a dinner plate. The 650 ml Self Pot has more depth and is sized for one-person soups, stews, and simmered dishes.

Each variation comes in black and is made in Japan. The pieces are not microwave safe and should not be cleaned in a dishwasher. Hand wash and dry thoroughly before storing.
