Ospite folds out when you need it, and disappears when you don’t. Designed by Vico Magistretti in 1996, it’s built from solid maple with a stretched jute sling and a dark blue bar across the back. The mechanism is simple—painted metal, nothing fussy. The mattress folds out flat and stores clean. When it’s closed, the whole piece sits low against the wall, almost like a bench. It’s modest, well-made, and doesn’t try to be anything more than what it is—a guest bed that actually works.

Siesta Bench/Hammock

Siesta combines the profile of a classic city bench with a hammock suspended at its center. The frame is made from powder-coated steel tubing, bent into a simple loop that forms the legs and seat base in one continuous line. A loose net is stretched between the arms, hanging just low enough to invite a softer, more laid-back way of sitting. It’s playful in form, but functional in build—stable, weather-ready, and made for indoor or outdoor use. Designed by Emanuele Magini in 2011, Siesta rethinks the bench not by adding, but by loosening its posture.

At first glance, Brando looks like a clever little bench—sculptural, compact, and unusually inviting. But slide the ash wood frame open and it quietly unfolds into a full-length guest bed. Designed by Giuseppe Arezzi for Campeggi, Brando riffs on the accordion-style camp bed, but elevates it with soft upholstery and a thoughtful, reclined cushion that nods to traditional headrests. Japanese interior design traditions have inspired the Kona Bed from Ferm Living. Low profile but with maximum visual impact, this daybed has an angular silhouette that combines slender wood panels in a clean geometric composition. The headboard is lower while the back panel has a higher elevation to provide the perfect support for relaxing. Versatile and stylish, the Kona Bed can be used as a daybed or as an extra guest bed. Either way, the modular backrest allows both left and right configurations. Made with FSC-certified materials, the bed features a durable oak veneer exterior.
