The Copenhagen-based design brand covers a broad, flared shade and tapering base in hand-braided rattan, supported by an iron structure underneath. Small gaps in the weave let points of light show through, bringing the braided surface into focus when the lamp is on.

Standing just under sixteen inches tall, this natural rattan table lamp works beside a bed, on a living-room side table, or at one end of a console. The shade extends well beyond the slender base, giving the lamp its broad-brimmed outline. Natural differences in the handwork mean the color and shape can vary slightly from piece to piece.

An eight-and-a-half-foot fabric cord gives you some flexibility when the outlet is farther away, with an on/off switch along the cord. The lamp includes its base, shade, and cord; add one E12 LED bulb, up to 12 watts, sold separately. This is the 110–120V US version, intended for indoor use.

Penguin Wooden Figurine https://shop.gessato.com/penguin-wooden-figurine/ https://shop.gessato.com/penguin-wooden-figurine/#respond Fri, 18 Sep 2026 17:06:34 +0000 https://shop.gessato.com/?post_type=product&p=179505 Penguin arrives in black tie. This wooden penguin figurine has a hand-painted black back that sweeps around a pale beechwood chest, with a slender neck and a long beak pointing upward. The curved boundary between paint and bare wood follows the rounded belly, leaving the grain visible down the front. Danish silversmith and designer Hans Bunde created Penguin in 1954; today, Danish design company Architectmade produces the figure by hand.

Choose Mini, Small, or Large. Mini stands just over five inches tall, making it a compact companion for a desk lamp or a row of paperbacks. Large doubles that height, while Small falls between the two. Arrange different sizes facing one another on a sideboard, or leave a single bird looking out across the room.

Each Penguin is sold individually. It makes a personable housewarming gift for a bird lover or collector of Danish design—and leaves room for a small colony to follow.

PK Granite Bowl https://shop.gessato.com/pk-granite-bowl/ https://shop.gessato.com/pk-granite-bowl/#respond Fri, 18 Sep 2026 09:19:16 +0000 https://shop.gessato.com/?post_type=product&p=179493 A round hollow cuts into the square body of the PK Bowl, a black granite decorative bowl designed by Poul Kjærholm in 1963. Its exterior is rough and granular, while the smooth interior catches the light. Four broad corners frame the opening, leaving plenty of stone visible around the curved basin.

The Danish furniture designer developed the bowl from his much larger PK-600 for Fredericia Town Hall. Produced by Architectmade, a Danish home-accessories company, this version is scaled for a desk, console, or side table. Use it to hold keys and other small objects, display a found piece of driftwood, or leave it empty to keep the interior in view.

It measures just under six inches square and weighs approximately six and a half pounds. Sold individually, the PK Bowl makes a substantial gift for someone interested in Danish design or natural stone.

Mermaid Wooden Figurine https://shop.gessato.com/mermaid-wooden-figurine/ https://shop.gessato.com/mermaid-wooden-figurine/#respond Fri, 18 Sep 2026 08:43:16 +0000 https://shop.gessato.com/?post_type=product&p=179483 Mermaid has her arms in a circle and her tail curled upward, as though she has just settled in. Danish architect Hans Bølling designed this wooden mermaid figurine in 1960. Produced by Danish design company Architectmade, it pairs a pale maple upper body with a darker oak lower body. Long wooden hair frames a small face, while the grain remains visible across the broad, curved tail.

There is plenty to rearrange. Turn the head, arms, body, or fin to change her pose; the head also lifts off so you can position the arms overhead. Leave her looking across the room, or turn her toward a neighboring object on the shelf. The rounded parts and contrasting woods keep the figure recognizable through every adjustment.

Handmade and sold individually, Mermaid makes a thoughtful gift for a collector of Danish wooden figures—or someone who would appreciate a little company on the bookshelf.

Circle Stainless Steel Bowl https://shop.gessato.com/circle-stainless-steel-bowl/ https://shop.gessato.com/circle-stainless-steel-bowl/#respond Thu, 17 Sep 2026 23:56:39 +0000 https://shop.gessato.com/?post_type=product&p=179469 The Circle Bowl gives a round form an unexpectedly oval outline. Its rim rises and dips around the opening, while mirror-polished steel reflects the fruit inside and the colors of the surrounding room. Danish architect and furniture designer Finn Juhl drew the bowl in 1954, giving its thin metal sides the sweeping curves found throughout his work.

Produced by Danish design brand Architectmade, this polished stainless steel fruit bowl comes in two diameters. The smaller version measures just under eight inches across, leaving room for other objects on a kitchen counter or side table. The larger bowl spans almost twelve inches, providing a broader display for fruit on a dining table or island. Both work equally well empty, where the curved interior and reflections remain visible.

Choose Small or Large; each bowl is sold individually. Pair the two sizes for a display at different scales, or give one as a housewarming gift.

FJ Pattern Pillow https://shop.gessato.com/fj-pattern-pillow/ https://shop.gessato.com/fj-pattern-pillow/#respond Thu, 17 Sep 2026 22:28:17 +0000 https://shop.gessato.com/?post_type=product&p=179451 Finn Juhl’s FJ Pattern Pillow gives a plain sofa something to work with. A field of tone-on-tone triangles runs across the organic cotton cover, with raised surfaces that catch the light and give the pattern depth. Danish design company Architectmade developed the textile from watercolor patterns drawn in 1954 by Juhl, the architect and furniture designer whose interest in color extended well beyond his chairs.

This organic cotton geometric throw pillow comes in Blue and Gray, with square and rectangular versions of each. The square fills out the corner of an armchair; the lower rectangle leaves more of a sofa’s back visible. Mix the two shapes across a couch, or place one against plain bedding to bring the texture forward.

Each pillow includes a Fossflakes-filled insert and is sold individually. Dry cleaning is recommended to preserve the textile’s shape and texture. Blankets and other textiles shown in the photographs are not included.

Jul Standing Christmas Ornaments https://shop.gessato.com/jul-standing-christmas-ornaments/ https://shop.gessato.com/jul-standing-christmas-ornaments/#respond Thu, 17 Sep 2026 21:29:04 +0000 https://shop.gessato.com/?post_type=product&p=179436 A small forest for the sideboard, with an angel or two for company. Designed by woodturner Nikolaj Klitgaard for Danish brand Architectmade, Jul is a collection of wooden tabletop Christmas decorations handmade in teak. Two familiar Christmas figures take shape through rounded surfaces, stepped profiles, and the wood’s warm brown grain.

The Angel has a rounded head beneath a flat halo, broad wings, and a body that flares toward the base. The Tree narrows through a series of curved tiers to a pointed top. Both come in Small and Large, so you can pair matching figures or mix the heights along a shelf, mantel, or dining table.

Start with one, or assemble a little gathering. Each ornament is sold individually, making it easy to add to the display over time—or bring one along as a holiday host gift.

Spring Drinking Glasses, Set of 2 https://shop.gessato.com/spring-drinking-glasses-set-of-2/ https://shop.gessato.com/spring-drinking-glasses-set-of-2/#respond Thu, 17 Sep 2026 19:16:40 +0000 https://shop.gessato.com/?post_type=product&p=179425 Spring can stand upright for water or cocktails, then rest on its side for a small pour of cognac. The rounded bowl curves inward toward the rim and narrows below into a short cylindrical foot. That foot fits into the opening of another glass, allowing the pair to stack between uses. Danish architect Jørn Utzon, best known for the Sydney Opera House, designed Spring in 1949; Danish homeware brand Architectmade produces it in mouth-blown clear glass.

Sold as a set of two, these stackable drinking glasses work for water with dinner, a short cocktail, or an after-dinner drink. Their transparent surfaces show the contents and catch reflections along the curved sides. Keep them stacked in a cupboard or ready to use on a drinks tray. Each glass holds 6.8 fluid ounces and is dishwasher safe. The set contains two identical glasses; trays, bottles, and additional glasses shown in photographs are not included.

Owl Wooden Figurine https://shop.gessato.com/owl-wooden-figurine/ https://shop.gessato.com/owl-wooden-figurine/#respond Wed, 16 Sep 2026 21:20:28 +0000 https://shop.gessato.com/?post_type=product&p=179395 Owl’s oversized circular eyes sit above a tall, tapered body, with a rounded head that turns and tilts on a magnetic connection. Point it toward the room or tip it to one side to change its expression. Designer Paul Anker Hansen created Owl in 1960 and originally made the figures himself. Danish brand Architectmade continues to produce them by hand in oak, with contrasting maple and wenge eye inlays.

The collection includes Mini, Small, and Large, each in Natural Oak or Smoked Oak. Natural Oak has a pale body and dark eye rings; Smoked Oak reverses that contrast with dark brown wood and lighter rings. Mini fits beside books or a desk lamp, while Large stands twice its height and works well on a sideboard. Display one on its own or arrange several with their heads turned toward each other. Each wooden owl figurine is sold individually; group photographs show separately purchased pieces.

Duck & Duckling Wooden Figurines https://shop.gessato.com/duck-duckling-wooden-figurines/ https://shop.gessato.com/duck-duckling-wooden-figurines/#respond Wed, 16 Sep 2026 19:26:43 +0000 https://shop.gessato.com/?post_type=product&p=179373 In 1959, a Copenhagen policeman stopped traffic to let a duck and her ducklings cross the street. The story inspired Danish architect Hans Bølling to design the two wooden figures now produced by Danish brand Architectmade. Each teak wood duck figurine is handmade, with a rounded head, a long, flat bill, and broad feet beneath its curved body. Small dark eyes give both figures an alert expression. A clear matte teak-oil finish leaves the grain visible across the surface.

Duck has a taller, elongated body; Duckling is smaller and rounder. The larger Duck stands a little over twice the height of the Duckling. Both have movable heads, so a simple turn changes the direction of their gaze. Set one beside a stack of books, line up several along a sideboard, or place a Duckling opposite the larger Duck. Choose Duck or Duckling; each is sold individually, with additional figures purchased separately.
