0 Sir Paul Smith (1946) is a leading fashion designer who has received a knighthood for services to British fashion in 2000. He launched his eponymous brand in 1970, opening a small shop in Nottingham. In 1979, he opened his flagship store in London, establishing Paul Smith as a leading fashion brand. By the late 1980s, the designer had opened shops in Tokyo and New York. Over the course of his career, Paul Smith has collaborated with renowned brands, including Anglepoise, Cappellini, Triumph, Leica, and Land Rover. His designs showcase his mastery of color and idiosyncratic style as well as his quintessentially British sense of humor. Paul Smith has published two books: You Can Find Inspiration in Everything in 2001 and Paul Smith’s Cycling Scrapbook in 2016. He has received various awards, including the Outstanding Achievement Award at the British Fashion Awards 2011.
