The jute, sourced from deadstock that would otherwise end up in landfills, complements the 100% cotton thread used for sewing, ensuring that the product remains entirely natural and biodegradable.

Cicil Home takes pride in their commitment to producing locally, with every stage of the rug’s creation taking place on the East Coast of the USA. Sourced from small family farms and cooperatives in New York, Vermont, and Pennsylvania, the wool undergoes a gentle soap-and-water cleaning process in South Carolina. The wool then travels to North Carolina, where it is spun, braided, and sewn by hand to create the final product. By refraining from using dyes or harsh chemicals, the rug retains the wool’s inherent color and beauty for an authentic, natural appeal.

      • Materials: 72% Wool,  28% jute
      • Dimensions regular: 28" x 79" or 71 cm x 200 cm
      • Dimensions extra long : 28" x 10 ft or 71 cm x 304 cm
      • Care: Use a mild detergent (ideally wool detergent) diluted with water to spot clean stains. To evenly distribute wear and extend its lifetime, the rug should be turned over periodically. Any small loose threads that appear on the surface should be clipped rather than pulled out.
