M27 Round Outdoor Table

Davide Carbone — Fri, 09 May 2025 23:54:53 +0000

This teak outdoor table—round, balanced, and quietly detailed—is designed for open-air meals that last longer than planned. Part of Thomas E. Alken’s Sammen series, the M27 brings people closer together with its circular shape, making it easy to see, hear, and share with everyone at the table. The top is crafted from solid teak and features a subtle sunburst pattern that draws the eye without asking for attention. With room for four to six, it works just as well for quiet mornings as it does for spontaneous dinners with friends. Built to live outside and weather gracefully, it’s a table that holds its place without pushing itself forward.

The surface is stitched into slim horizontal channels that keep the filling even and the shape consistent. Made from weather-resistant fabric, it fastens securely so it stays put—even when you wheel the lounger to a sunnier spot. Soft enough to stretch out on for hours, without changing the profile of the design.

The weather-resistant fabric is tough enough for daily outdoor use but still feels comfortable to the touch. Simple loops and buttons hold the cushion in place so it won’t shift around. Like the rest of the Sammen series, it’s a minimal, well-made addition that does exactly what it needs to—just enough comfort to stay outside longer.

M19 Teak Coffee Table

Davide Carbone — Fri, 09 May 2025 17:42:52 +0000

The M19 teak table was designed to bring FDB Møbler’s functional, honest design outdoors—without losing the warmth and ease of indoor living. Made from solid teak, it sits low and wide with gently rounded corners and smooth slats that let light pass through. It’s sized to pair naturally with the Sammen lounge chairs, but works just as well on its own beside a sun lounger or under a tree. The table ships flat and assembles easily, with details that feel quiet and considered. It’s built for long days spent outside, when everything slows down and the table doesn’t need to do more than hold a book, a drink, or nothing at all.

M12 Bench

Davide Carbone — Fri, 09 May 2025 14:11:18 +0000

Compact and comfortable, the M12 Sammen Bench by Thomas E. Alken is the kind of piece that adapts easily to outdoor life. It seats two without taking up much room—ideal for a smaller patio, a tucked-away spot in the garden, or as extra seating around the table. Made from solid teak with an oiled finish, the bench is designed to weather naturally while keeping its shape and feel. Vertical slats keep the profile open, while the backrest and armrests offer just enough structure to lean into. Like the rest of the Sammen series, it’s unfussy, well-proportioned, and made for everyday use.

M11 Bench

Davide Carbone — Fri, 09 May 2025 13:29:58 +0000

Designed by Thomas E. Alken for FDB Møbler, the M11 Sammen Bench brings the warmth of indoor seating into the garden without feeling precious. It’s built from solid teak with a natural oil finish, left open in structure so air and light pass through easily. The backrest has just enough angle to make sitting feel relaxed, even over a long meal, and the three-seat length makes it a practical choice when you’re hosting more than usual. It pairs cleanly with the dining tables in the Sammen series, but it also holds its own under a tree, against a wall, or along a quiet path—wherever an extra seat might turn into an invitation to stay a little longer.
