The concept of energy circulation, traditional craftsmanship and sustainable design all come together in the sculptural Ki Ki Ki collection. Made in a collaboration between Karimoku and Torafu Architects, Ki 03 features a playful shape that reminds of the silhouette of a tree or the Japanese dango dessert. This fun object provides an easy way to relax the muscles with massage and acupressure. Named Ki, which means “wood” and “forest” in Japanese but also refers to Qi, this wood sculpture offers a practical solution to promote the circulation of energy through the body and relieve stress. The base doubles as a handle and provides perfect grip. Produced in Japan from wood waste, Ki 03 features a captivating blend of maple, walnut, cherry, sapele and oak plywood.

From acupressure to massages, the Ki 02 wood object from the Karimoku collection provides a handy way to relax and promote energy circulation. Part of the Ki Ki Ki series created by the furniture brand in collaboration with Torafu Architects, this sculptural object recreates the shape of a tree. The collection’s name refers to the Japanese words for “wood” and “forest”, while also giving a nod to the concept of Qi. The Ki 02 design has a stouter shape with a rounded base and thinner top. A handle at the base allows the user to hold the item with ease. Made from furniture waste materials, this product features a beautiful combination of light and darker oak, walnut, maple, sapele, and cherry plywood. The Ki series is manufactured in Japan and features a natural oil finish that enhances the textures and colors of wood.

Created in a collaboration between Karimoku and Torafu Architects, the Ki Ki Ki series promotes energy circulation and well-being. The designs take inspiration from nature, recreating the shape of trees. The name of the series captures different meanings of “ki”, which can mean wood, trees, and forest, and also refers to the concept of Qi. This set is also eco-friendly as it’s made with left-over wood from furniture manufacturing. Shaped like different types of trees, the three objects feature beautifully layered wood in alternating colors. To make every one of the Ki Ki Ki massage objects, Karimoku uses a blend of oak, walnut, sapele, cherry and maple plywood.
